How the Centre operates
.
Human Resources
The work of the Foundation is carried out by a very small group of paid permanent staff, and a large number of volunteers, including “Peace Volunteers” from Germany and the Italian National Volunteers scheme.
As is the case for many other cultural organisations, the high quality of the services we offer and the initiatives we are able to take is the result of the enthusiasm of our many volunteer staff. In return, our volunteers have many opportunities for personal growth in both educational and cultural fields.

Economic Resources
The Foundation was given a modest financial base at its start, along with specific funds for its library, archive and museums. As is often the case with such organisations, the Centre finds the raising of money for particular projects much easier than the funding of its day to day activities.
The Foundation is financed by income derived from its own activities; by grants from the ‘8 per 1000’ project operated by the Tavola; by grants made by public and government organisations (local, regional and national); and by donations coming from Italy and from abroad.

The organisation of the Foundation
The Foundation is run by an Executive Council with its President, elected by the Tavola and the Waldensian Studies Society; a Finance Committee; and a Director.
